A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
AMENDING AGRICULTURAL PRESERVE BOUNDARIES AS PREVIOUSLY
ESTABLISHED BY RESOLUTION NO. 3840
AGRICULTURAL PRESERVE REMOVAL NO. 54
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has established certain agricultural
preserves ; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands is authorized to establish agricul-
tural preserves pursuant to the California Land Conservation Act of
1965 ; and
WHEREAS , land to be included within the Agricultural Preserves is
used for the purpose of producing agricultural commodities for commer-
cial purposes and compatible uses ; and
WHEREAS , Resolution No. 3649 , adopted by the City Council of the
City of Redlands on February 19 , 1980 , establishes policy criteria for
removal of lands from within the Agricultural Preserves;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the real property located in
the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino , State of California, as
definitively set forth in the amended map prepared by the Department of
Planning and Community Development and filed on ,
in Book , Page , of Miscellaneous Maps , Document No. ,
in the San Bernardino County Recorder ' s Office , which is incorporated
by reference herein, is hereby designated and established as Agricultural
Preserves within the meaning of and pursuant to the Land Conservation
Act of 1965 , as amended.
Parcels identified by July, 1982 , San Bernardino County Assessor' s
Parcels Nos. 168-132-3 , 168-132-4 , and 168-132-5 are therefore deleted
from Agricultural Preserve as established by Resolution No. 3840 .

Dear Mayor Roth and City Council Members:
Please accept my apologies for not being able to attend this City
Council meeting but due to family illness I am called away from home.
I am the property owner of Agricultural Preserve Removal #54, and
I would like to have my property removed from the boundaries of this
agricultural area.
I do not intend to develop the land immediately. The development
of this property is about two to three years away. And any application
for Change of Zone or any other future development plans will have to
come before you for your consideration. In the meantime I plan to keep
the grove in citrus production which operates at a loss.
Other properties in the area sometimes under restrictive conditions
have been removed from agricultural preserve boundaries. Mr. Stanley
Rosen' s request of 1979 and Mr. Richard Nelson's request of 1981 .
The property to the north of mine, eighty five acres has been
removed from the preserve, and the Williamson Act Contract has been
allowed to be cancelled.
I respectfully request that you consider my application on the
same level and equal basis of Mr. Rosens' & Mr. Nelson's application.
I am happy to be a resident of Redlands and am assured the City
of Redlands has a fair and equitable City Council and with that I am
confident that my application will be treated on an equal basis as
previous applications.

Agricultural Preserve Removal No. 54
Dear Bill :
At the last City Council meeting, I requested
that proposed Resolution No. 3863 be removed from the
agenda for closer scrutiny by counsel. Having now
discussed the matter with Dallas , it appears to us that
Resolution No. 3863 may be adopted in its proposed form,
provided the members of the Council are advised of the
criteria imposed by Resolution No. 3649 . You may wish
to merely include copies of that resolution into the
agenda packet for their review prior to the next City
Council meeting.
