2 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY �
OF REDLANDS, REgUESTING THE CREATION OF AN AIR POLLUTION CONTROL
3 DISTRICT.
4 WHEREAS, it appearing that the City Administration has
5 i� investigated and considered the many problems involved in the I
i
6 !I maintenance of atmospheric purity and freedom from air contaminants
7 1 and the best and most practicable steps to be taken to protect the
1i
g �i air from pollution; and
9 'VdEREAS, in the course of said investigation, said Admin-
10 I istration has conferred with many of the other cities situate in
11 i! the County of San Bernardino and that from said investigation said
12 City rias arrivt--d at the conclusion that the problem of air pollutio
�'
13 is one by reason of its many diverse causes ol air pollution, the
14 territorial extent of the problem and the need for an overall study
15 kand enforcement demands and requires the formation of an air pollu-
16 II tion control district as specifically authorized under the recent
17 II amendments to the Health and Safety Code of the State of California
18 �I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON

20 SECTIJN uND.: That the honorable Board of Supervisors of I
21 ! the County of San hernardino be, and they are hereby requested to
?2 take immediate steps to form an air pollution control district undel
23 the provisions of the Health and ;safety Code of the St,-Ac of Calif-
24 ornia and t`iat a copy of this Resolution shall be immediately for-
25 warded to the Board of Supervisors for their consideration.
