RESOLTTTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS CONCERNING AIR
POLLTJTION CONTROL IN TF-E COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO .

and declares that the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the
people of Redlands requires purity and freedom of the a.l.r from P- tmos-
nheric contR�dnation and oo]lution;
WHEREAS , -11,t Is not nractical or feasible to iorevent or rerl ice
air contaminants by local ordinances of the City of Redlands or other
Cities located within the County of San Bernm ding;
WHEREAS , the Legislature of the State of California has
enacted legislation creating air pollution control districts having
boundaries coextensive with the boimdaries of every County of the State;
WT-TREAS, the City Council of t1-e City of Redlands declares
that it is necessary to provide for air pollution control districts with
County-wide authoritrtr in the event that, regi-ilations are necessary and
feasible to redi.iae air contaminants and sa-fegiiard life , healt'l, prooerty
and the public welfare and to make possible the comfortable enjoyment of
life and property;
NOW THEREFORE., the City Council of the Clt'7 of Ree=l pnels does
hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows :
SECTION 1. That t'ris Cit-7 Council hereby declares tl-,St local
ordinances are not practical. or feasible for effective air pollution
control in the City of Redlands and the County of San Bernardino and
that an Air 'Pollution Control District provides a more feasible and
practical method of control ;
SECTION 2. That this City Council hereby orders that a copy
