A RESOLUTION OP THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
URGING THE SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO
MAKE APPLICATION FOR A FEDERAL GRANT FOR AIR POLLUTION
RESEARCH FUNDS
WHEREAS , the City of Redlands, along with other cities in the
Pomona Valley and San Bernardino County, has placed air pollution
control measures as a top priority item at all levels of govern-
ment, and
WHEREAS , the County of San Bernardino, through its Board of
Supervisors and the County Air Pollution Control District, has
the responsibility of enforcement and research of air pollution
generated within the County, and
WHEREAS , Federal grants are currently available for research
by County agencies ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Redlands does urge the San Bernardino County Board of
Supervisors to immediately make application for a Federal grant
for air pollution research funds ;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said research he directed to
the various sources and types of air pollution emanating from
stationary as well as mobile sources .
