AMENDED RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS CREATING AN
AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD OF SEVEN MEMBERS
The City Council of the City of Redlands does resolve that
Resolution No. 2212, creating an Airport Advisory Board, is here-
by amended to read as follows:
Section 1: There is hereby created an AIRPORT ADVISORY
BOARD consisting of seven (7) members, to be appointed by the
Council.
The first such Board of seven (7) members , at its first meet-
ing, shall classify its members by lot so that one shall serve
for a term which shall expire July 1, 1969, two shall serve for a
term which shall expire July 1, 1970, two shall serve for a
term which shall expire July 1, 1971, and two shall serve
for a term which shall expire July 1, 1972 . At the expiration of
each of the terms so provided for, successors shall be appointed
by the Council for a term of four years . The Mayor shall desig-
nate the chairman of the first Board to be appointed, and annual-
ly thereafter, during the month of July, the Board shall elect
from among its members a chairman to serve for one year.
Section 2: Vacancies on the Board shall be filled by appoint-
ment by the Council for the unexpired term. Each member shall
serve until his successor is appointed and qualified. A 4/5 vote
of the Council shall be required to appoint or remove a member of
the Airport Advisory Board.
Section 3: No person shall be appointed to the Board who
holds any salaried public office or employment, nor shall any mem-
ber, while on the Board or for a period of one year after his term
has expired, be eligible for appointment or election to any office
or employment of the City.
Section 4: Duties of the Airport Advisory Board:
The Airport Advisory Board shall determine the order of busi-
ness for the conduct of its meetings , which shall be on call of
the chairman or four (4) members of the Board. Four members of
the Board shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.

The Airport Advisory Board shall have the power and duty to:
(a) Act in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all
matters pertaining to the administration, operation, development,
improvement and maintenance of the Redlands Municipal Airport.
