HomeMy WebLinkAbout6204_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 6204 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ELECTING TO RECEIVE ALLOCATIONS OF TAX INCREMENT PURSUANT TO HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE SECTION 33607.5(b) WHEREAS, on November 4, 2003, the City Council of the City of Redlands ("this City Council"), acting as the legislative body for the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands, adopted Ordinance No. 2560 for the Redlands Redevelopment Project Area; and WHEREAS,the California Community Redevelopment Law("CRL"),in Health and Safety Code section 33607.5(b), provides that the City, as the community adopting the Redlands Redevelopment Project Area,may elect to receive the amount of tax increment authorized by Section 33607.5(b); and WHEREAS,this City Council hereby desires to make the election allowed by CRL Section 33607.5(b); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. In accordance with the authority granted by CRL Section 33607.5(b),this City Council hereby elects to receive that amount of tax increment authorized by Section 33607.5(b). The first fiscal year to which this election shall apply shall be fiscal year 2004-05 and such election shall automatically continue for every fiscal year thereafter in which the Agency receives tax increment until rescinded by subsequent resolution of the City Council. Section 2. City staff is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the San Bernardino County Auditor Controller's office. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to,with the concurrence of the City Attorney, execute such documents and take such other actions as may be necessary or convenient in the administration of the actions authorized by this resolution. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective on the effective date of City of Redlands Ordinance No. 2560. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 21 st day of October, 2003.
