HomeMy WebLinkAbout3308_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 3308 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 52" TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS : WHEREAS, on the 21st day of September, 1976, the City Council did adopt Resolution No. 3286 declaring the intention to annex certain pro- perty designated as Annexation No. 52 under provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 as set forth in Sections 35300 to 35325 of the Government Code of the State of California, and WHEREAS , on the 8th day of December, 1376, the Local Agency Forma- tion Commission of the County of San Bernardino did approve annexation of this property to the City of Redlands under Resolution No. 1245 and designated as LAFC #1651, and did authorize the City to proceed without notice and publication as permitted. in Section 54797 .1, and WHEREAS, one hundred percent of the property owners consent to and request this annexation, and WHEREAS , said territory is contiguous to the City of Redlands , and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Bernardino; NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of Redlands does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Redlands , does hereby further resolve that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Redlands, and in compliance with the LAFC resolution of approval, the territory is detached from CSA #38, Improvement Zone G of CSA #38, CSA #70 and Improvement Zone A of CSA #70 without split of assets or liabilities, That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Redlands is herein approved, is all that territory situated in the County of San Bernardino, State of California., more particularly described as follows : All that portion of Block 12 and. Block 13 of Barton Ranch as recorded in Book 6 of Maps, Page 19, in the office of the County Recorder, County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows : Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Park: Avenue with the wast line of the east 1/2 of said Block. 12 ; Thence northerly along said gest line a distance of 450. 25 feet to the. existing City limits of Redlands ; Thence easterly along said. City limits to the center line of Alabama Street; Thence leaving said City limits southerly along said center line to the south line of the north 1/2 of said Block 13; Thence westerly along said south line to the gest line of the east 1/2 of said Block 13, Thence northerly along said west line to the Point of Beginning. Approval by the Local Agency Formation Commission is not to be interpreted as indicating that the Commission recommends, requires or advo- cates that particular proceeding. It should be construed only to mean that if the Peon-, le--acting by election or through their elected representatives, as required by existing statutory provisions--wish to change the boundaries of a political taxing agency in order to provide a necessary service, the proposal as approved by this Commission would accomplish the service in a reasonable manner with a maximum chance of success and a minimum disruption of service to the functions of other.
