HomeMy WebLinkAbout2346_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO, 234 _ A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 17" TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS : WHEREAS, on the 19th day of November, 1963 , the City Council of the City of Redlands did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2333 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Redlands, said territory being therein designated as "Annexation No 17 " , said resolution describing the boundaries of the territory pro- posed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2333 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made by any person owning property within the territory propo- sed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not more than thirty days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and WHEREAS, on the 17th day of December, 1963, at the hour of 7 :00 P.M. in the Council Chambers in the Safety Hall of the City of Redlands , County of San Bernardino , State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2333 for hearing of protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assess- ment roll, nor by public and private owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Redlands , and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Bernardino ; NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of Redlands does hereby approve the annexation hereinafter described to the City of Redlands, and does hereby further resolve that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Redlands. That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Redlands is herein approvedis all that territory situated in the County of San Bernardino , State of California, more particularly described as follows : - Annexation No. 17 - Beginning at a point in the boundary of the City of Redlands , said point being the intersection of the centerline of Tennessee Street , 80 feet wide, and the easterly prolongation of the south line of the north half of the northeast quarter of Block 22 , Barton Ranch as per plat recorded in Book 6 of Maps , Page 19, records of San Bernardino County; e Thence westerly along said prolongation and south line of the north half of the said northeast quarter of the intersection with the west line of the east half of said Block 22 ; Thence southerly along the west line of the east half of Block 22 to the intersection of the said line with the centerline of ©range Avenue, 50 feet wide ; thence easterly along the center- line of Orange Avenue to its point of intersection with the center- line of Tennessee Street ; thence northerly along the centerline of Tennessee Street to the point of beginning, 15.16 acres .
