IDS DECLARING THAT PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN INITIATED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 1811, ARID GIVING NOTICE OF SUCH PROPOSED ANNEXATION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS- SECTION ONE: That, pursuant to the provisions of the ItAnnexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939", proceedings have been initiated by the Council of the City of Redlands., on its own motion, to annex to the City of Redlands all that uninhabited territory situated in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, hereby designated as "Annexation District No. 18" and described as .follows: All that portion of Lots 2 and 3 in Block 1 of Henry Ln Williams Tract, in County of San Bernardino, State of California, as per plat recorded in Book 11 of Maps, page 17, records of said County, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the prolongation of the easterly line of said Lot 2 with the westerly prolongation of the northerly line of the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter, Section 21, TIS, R31d, S.B.B. & M, being a point in the west boundary of the City of Redlands; thence southerly along said west boandary to the southeasterly corner of said Lot 2; thence northwesterly along the southerly line of said Lots 2 and 3 to the southwesterly corner of said Lot 3, said southerly line being also the northerly line of 50-foot wide A.T. & S.F. R.R. right of way; thence northerly along the westerly line of said Lot 3 to an intersection with the said westerly prolongation of the northerly line of the SW quarter of theS.1d. quarter, Section 21, TIS, R3W, S.B.B. & M; thence easterly along said prolongation to the point of beginning. SECTION TWO: That the City Council of the City of Redlands desires tc annex said uninhabited territory to the City of Redlands for the following reasons: The territory is contiguous to the City of Redlands,, and its proposed annexation will contribute to and facilitate the orderly growth and developmnt of both the City and the territory proposed to be annexed; will facilitate and contribute to the proper and orderly layout, design and construction of streets., gutters, sidewalks, sanitary and storm water sewers and drainage facilities, both within the City and within the territory proposed to be annexed; and will provide and facilitate proper overall plan- ning and zoning of lands, and subdivision of lands in said City and said uninhabited territory, in a manner most conducive to the welfare of said City and said uninhabited territory. SECTION THREE: That a written petition for annexation, signed by all property owners within the territory proposed to be annexed, is on file in the office of the City Clerk, SECTION FOUR: That the County Boundary Commission of San Bernardi-no County.. California, did in session duly assembled on January 9, 1964, approve the proposed annexation boundaries of said ItAnnexation No. 1811 as above described and that it was approved by the Local Agency Formation Comnission at a regular meeting thereof held February 19, 1964, as submitted to said Commissions by the Council of the City of Redlands. SECTION FIVE: That March 17, 1964, at the hour of 7,00 P.M. in the Council Chambers in the Safety Hall.,, 212 Brookside Avenue, in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino5 California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any person owning real property within the City of Redlands who does not also own property within the territory to be annexed, and having any objections to the proposed annexa- tion, may appear before the Council of the City of Redlands and show cause why such uninhabited territory should not be annexed to said City of Redlands, SECTION SIX: The City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolUtion to be published at least once in the Redlands Daily Facts , a newspaper of general circulation published in said City of Redlands., the city to which it is proposed to annex the aforesaid territory, said publication to complete at least four (4) days prior to the date set for hearing, SECTION SEVEN. In the event there is, upon the 'Land proposed to be annexed, a structural improvement owned, being acquired or leased by a county fire protection district,, the said Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexa- tion to be mailed to the governing body of such district, such notice to be sent not less than ten (10) days before the first public hearing upon such proposed annexation. SECTION EIGHT: The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto,, in the manner required by law.
