RESOLUTION REAFFIRMING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS TO
INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY,
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED AND DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION NO. 14" TO THE CITY OF
REDLANDS AND APPROVING THE FILING OF SUCH PROPOSAL WITH THE BOUNDARY COMMISSION
OF THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, FOR A REPORT THEREON AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redlands.-
SECTION 1. That the Council of the City of Redlands proposes to initiate
on its own motion, as soon as it can legally do so, proceedings to annex to the
City of Redlands all of the territory hereinafter described as "Annexation No.
14", being uninhabited territory, under and by virtue and in accordance and in
compliance with the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act
of 1939 as provided in Title 4, Division 2 of the Government Code of the State
of California,
SECTION 20 That the Council has been advised that the City Clerk filed the
proposal for annexation of such territory on Ma=ch 12, 1963 with the Boundary
Commission of the County of San Bernardino, State of California, in accordance
with Section 35002 of the Government Code, and such filing is hereby ratified,
approved and recognized as a requirement of the Annexation of Uninhabited Terri-
tory Act of 19390
SECTION 3. That the Council's reasons for proposing to initiate such annexa-
tion proceedings are as follows.- That the annexation of the hereinafter described
territory will contribute to the orderly growth of the city, provide the proper con-
trol of street layout, drainage, sanitary sewer design, water system design and the
proper land use in conformity with the overall zoning plan of said city.
SECTION 4. That the territory, which said Council proposes to annex, is
hereby designated "Annexation No. 1411, and includes all that real property situated
in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, described and referred to in
"Exhibit All, attached hereto.
SECTION 5. That the City Council hereby receives and accepts the report of
the City Clerk that this proposal for annexation of territory to the City of Red-
lands, designated "Annexation No. 1411, has been submitted to the Boundary Commission
of the County of San Bernardino in accordance with the provisions of Section 35002
of the Government Code of the State of California; that the Boundary Commission has
indicated that the boundaries already have been determined to be definite and cer-
tain, as shown in its report upon "Annexation No. 14".
