RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS TO INITIATE ON ITS
OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS:
to That the Council of the City of Redlands, for the reasons hereinafter mentioned,
proposes to initiate on its own motion., as soon as it can legally do so, proceedings
to annex to the City of Redlands all of the territory hereinafter described, as un-
inhabited territory, under provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act
of 1939 as set forth in Sections 35300 to 35325, of the Government Code of the State
of California.
2. That the Councilts reasons for proposing to initiate said annexation proceedings
are as follows: The annexation of the hereinafter described territory will contribute
to the orderly growth of the city, provide the proper control of street layout, drain-
age, sanitary sewer design and insure the proper use of land in conformity with the
overall plan of the city.
3. That the territory which the Council proposes to annex is hereby identified as
"Annexation 221t and consists of all that real property situate in the County of San
Bernardino, State of California, described as follows:
All that portion of section 13 TlS, R3W and section 18, TlS, R2W in the
County of San Bernardino, State of California and described in whole as
follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of the south 21, Section 13, thence
N 890 300 34" E, 716-94 feet, thence N 140 021 02" W, 1357.74 feet, thence
S 890 30' 34" wp 405-07 feet, thence N 00 45' 1711 W, 229.72, thence
S 730 56, 05" W, 2393,79 feet to a point on a curve concave northerly,
with radius of 30,100.00 feet and central angle 30 04' 569", thence westerly
along arc of the said curve 161.9.23 feet, thence 3 770 01' 01" W, 1378089
feet, thence 3 00 321 14" E, 216.09 feet to the north line of south -1 of

section 13, the same being the north boundary of existing City Limit.
Thence along the said north line N 890 301 34" E, 5230.29 feet to the NE
corner of south N" of section 13 and the point of beginning.
Excluding therefrom a 200 foot wide strip of the north I of section 13.,

adjacent to and lying westerly of the east line of said section 13. (116.06 acres)
4. That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to file with the
Local Agency Formation Commission and the Boundary Commission of the County of
San Bernardino! State of California, this proposal to initiate proceedings to
annex the hereinabove described uninhabited territory to the City of Redlands,
and to request a report by the Commissions provided for in Section 35002 of the
Government Code.
