RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DECLARING THAT PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN INITIATED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDLANDS TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 22119 AND
GIVING NOTICE OF SUCH PROPOSED ANNEXATION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS -,
SECTION ONE; That, pursuant to the ptovisions of the "Annexation
of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939" , proceedings have been initiated
by the Council of the City of Redlands, on Its own motion, to annex
to the City of Redlands all that uninhabited territory situated in
the County of San Bernardino , State of California, hereby designated
as "Annexation District No . 22 " and described as follows -.
All that portion of north one-half, Section 13, Township I
South, Range 3 West in the County of San Bernardi-no, State
of Cali.fornia and described In whole as follows �
Commencing at the northeast corner of south one-half, Section
13 , thence along the north line of south one-half of Section
13 , south 89030 ' 341, west , 200 feet to the true point of
beginning.
Thence along the said north line , south 89030 ' 34" west ,
5030.29 feet, thence north 0032 ' 14"" west , 216.09 feet , thence
north 77001 B Ol" east 1378 . 89 feet to the beginning of tangent
curve concave northerly, with radius of 30, 100- 00 feet and
central angle 3`04 ' 56" , thence easterly along the are of the
said curve 1619.23 feet , thence north 73056 ' 05" east , 2186. 43
feet, thence southerly along a line parallel to and 200 feet
distant from the east line of the said Section 13 , south 0 045 ' 17 "
east , 1494. 05 feet to the true point of beginning. 99. 06 Ac .
SECTION TWO - That the City Council of the City of Redlands desires
to annex said uninhabited territory to the City of Redlands for the
following reasons - The territory is contiguous to the City of Redlands
and its proposed annexation will contribute to and facilitate the
orderly growth and development of both the City and the territory
proposed to be annexed; will facilitate and contribute to the proper
and orderly layout, design and construction of streets , gutters , side
walks , sanitary and storm water sewers and drainage facilities, both
within the City and within the territory proposed to be annexed; and
will provide and facilitate proper overall planning and zoning of
lands , and subdivision of lands in said City and said uninhabited
territory, in a manner most conducive to the welfare of said City and
said uninhabited territory.
SECTION THREEz That a written petition for annexation, signed by
all property owners within the territory proposed to be annexed, is on
file in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION FOUR: That the County Boundary Commission of San Bernardino
County, California,, did in session dully assembled on April 30, 1964,
approve the proposed annexation boundaries of said "Annexation No. 22"
as above described and that it was approved by the Local Agency Forma
tion Commission at a regular meeting thereof held June 3, 1964 as
submitted to said Commissions by the Council of the City of Redlands.
SECTION FIVE: That July 7, 1964, at the hour of 7 :00 P.M. in the
Council Chambers in the Safety Hall, 212 Brookside Avenue, in the City
of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, California is hereby fixed as
the time and place when and where any person owning real property
within the City of Redlands who does not also own property within the
territory to be annexed, and having any objections to the proposed
annexation, may appear before the Council of the City of Redlands and
show cause why such uninhabited territory should not be annexed to said
City of Redlands.
SECTION SIX: The City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby
authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be pub-
lished at least once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general
circulation published in said City of Redlands, the city to which .4.t is
proposed to annex the aforesaid territory, said publication to complete
at least four (4) days prior to the date set for hearing.
SECTION SEVEN: In the event there is, upon the land proposed to be
annexed a structural improvement owned, being acquired or leased by a
county fire protection district, the said Clerk is directed to cause
written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the governing
body of such district , such notice to be sent not less than ten (10)
days before the first public hearing upon such proposed annexation.
SECTION EIGHT: The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice
to be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto,
in the manner required by law.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this lielul day of June 1964,
