A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 23" TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS :
WHEREAS , on the 16th day of June , 1964 , the City Council of the
City of Redlands did pass and adopt Resolution No . 2385 , giving notice
of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of
Redlands , said territory being therein designated as "Annexation No. 23"
said resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to
be annexed and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2385 did contain a notice of the day,
hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests
made by any person owning property within the territory proposed to be
annexed, the time of said hearing being not more than thirty days from
date of passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of July, 1964, at the hour of 7 :00 P.M. in
the City Council Chambers in the Safety Hall of the City of Redlands ,
County of San Bernardino , said time and place being the day , hour and place
fixed in said Resolution No. 2385 for hearing of protests to the said
annexation, the said City Council dial hear and pass upon all protests made
to the proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not been
made by the owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to
be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll nor by public
and private owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to
be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Redlands , and
is uninhabited territory in the County of San Bernardino ;
NOW THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of Redlands does
hereby approve the annexation hereinafter described to the City of
Redlands , and does hereby further resolve that the said territory be and
is hereby annexed to the City of Redlands .
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Redlands
is herein approved , is all that territory situated in the County of San
Bernardino , State of California, more particularly described as follows :
- Annexation No . 23 -
All that portion of north one -half, Section 18 , Township 1
South, Range 2 West in the County of San Bernardino, State
of California and described in whole as follows :
Beginning at the southwest corner of north one-half of
Section 18 , thence alone the south line of the north one-half
of Section 18, north 89 30 ' 34" east , 716 . 94 feet , thence
north 14002102" west , 1357 . 74 feet ; thence south 89030 ' 34"
west , 405. 07 feet to a point on the west line of Section 18 ,
thence along the said west line, south 0045 ' 17" east 1320.00
feet to the true point of beginning. 17 Ac.
