RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY IN ANNEXATION NO. 33
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS:
1 . That the Council of the City of Redlands, on its own motion,
hereby initiates proceedings to annex to the City of Redlands all of
the territory described herein, as uninhabited territory, in accordance
with the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as provided
in Sections 35300 to 35325 of the Government Code of the State of
California.
2 . That this City Council ' s reasons for initiating said annexa-
tion proceedings are as follows: this land, owned by the City of
Redlands and contiguous to the Redlands Airport, is the only part of
the airport presently outside the city limits . This action will place
all Redlands Municipal Airport land within the city limits .
3 . That the territory which the Council intends to annex is here--
by designated "Annexation No. 33" and includes all of that real prop-
erty situate in the County of San Bernardino, State of California des-
cribed on Exhibit A attached hereto and shown on the map attached
hereto as Exhibit B .
4. That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed
to file with the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of
San Bernardino, State of California, this resolution that proceedings
have been initiated to annex the hereinabove described uninhabited
territory to the City of Redlands, to request a report by the Commis-
sion provided for in Section 350032 of the Government Code, and to sub-
mit and execute such other applications and reports as may be required
by law in such annexation proceeding.

Legal Description for Annexation No. 33
All that portion in North one-half of Section 18, Township I
South, Range 2 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian in the County
of San Bernardino, State of California and described as follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of said section 18, thence
southerly along the west line of said section to the northeast cor-
ner of that certain parcel conveyed to the City of Redlands by deed
recorded in Book 5800 page 457 thereof records of the said county
and the True Point of Beginning.
Thence along the northeasterly extension of the north line of
the said parcel to the westerly right of way line of A. T. & S. F.
R. R. right of way 100 feet in width, thence southerly along the
said right of way to a point of intersection with the north line of
that certain parcel conveyed to the City of Redlands by a deed re-
corded in book 5971 page 62 thereof records of the said county,
said point being on the present northerly corporate limits of the
City of Redlands, thence westerly along the said corporate limits
and the north line of the said parcel to the west line of said sec-
tion 18, thence northerly along the said west line to the True
Point of Beginning.
