HomeMy WebLinkAbout2662_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 2662 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRI- TORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 33" TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS : WHEREAS , on the 6th day of February, 1968, the City Council of the City of Redlands did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2658, giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Redlands, said territory being therein designated as "Annexation No. 33, " said resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS , said Resolution No. 2658 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made by any person owning property within the terri- tory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not more than thirty days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and WHEREAS , on the 5th day of March, 1968, at the hour of 7. 00 P.M. in the Council Chambers in the Safety Hall of the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2658 for hearing of protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one- half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll nor by public and private owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and WHEREAS , said territory is contiguous to the City of Redlands, and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Bernardino; NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of Redlands does hereby approve the annexation hereinafter described to the City of Redlands, and does hereby further resolve that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Redlands . That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Redlands is herein approved, is all that territory situated in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, more particularly described as follows: All that portion in North one-half of Section 18, Town- ship 1 South, Range 2 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian in the County of San Bernardino, State of California and described as follows: Commencing at the northwest corner of said Section 18, thence southerly along the west line of said section to the northeast corner of that certain parcel conveyed to the City of Redlands by deed recorded in Book 5800 page 457 thereof records of the said county and the True Point of Beginning. Thence along the northeasterly extension of the north line of the said parcel to the westerly right of way line of A. T. & S . F. R. R. right of way 100 feet in width, thence southerly along the said right of way to a point of inter- section with the north line of that certain parcel conveyed to the City of Redlands by a deed recorded in Book 5971 page 62 thereof records of the said county, said point being on the present northerly corporate limits of the City of Redlands, thence westerly along the said corporate limits and the north line of the said parcel to the west line of said section 18, thence northerly along the said west line to the True Point of Beginning.
