RESOLUTION NO. 2652
RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN
MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS :
1. That the Council of the City of Redlands proposes to initiate
on its own motion proceedings to annex to the City of Redlands all of
the territory hereinafter described, consisting of non-contiguous terri-
tory not exceeding one hundred acres in accordance with Section 35201 . 5
of the Government Code of the State of California.
2 . That the territory which the Council proposes to annex is here-
by identified as "Annexation No. 34" and consists of all that non-
contiguous real property used to municipal purposes and situate in the
County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows:
All that portion of Lot 3, Block 78, RANCHO SAN BERNARDINO,
in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, as per
plat recorded in Book 7 of Maps , page 2, records of said
County, described as follows :
COMMENCING at the Northeast corner of said Lot 3, said corner
being the centerline intersection of Crafton Avenue and 5th
Avenue; thence South 0 26 ' West 660 .0 feet; thence North 890
27 ' 30" West 25.0 feet to Point A, said point being the North-
east corner of that certain parcel of land conveyed by Harvey
B. Miller and L. Rose Miller and Marshall V. Miller and Ione
B . Miller to Joe J. Honus and Helen Grant Honus as Instrument
No. 148 and recorded September 25, 1946 in Book 1952, page
291, Official Records of said County; thence along the North
line of said Honus property, continuing North 890 27 ' 30"
West 531 .47 feet more or less to Point "B" , said point being
the True Point of Beginning, said point also Lies South 890
27 ' 30" East 435. 60 feet from the Northwest corner of said
Honus parcel; thence from the True Point of Beginning, North
890 27 ' 30" West 435 .60 feet to the Northwest corner of said
Honus parcel ; thence along the Westerly line of said Honus
parcel, South 00 13 ' West 300.00 feet; thence South 890 27 '
30" East 435. 60 feet; thence North 00 13 ' East 300.00 feet to
the True Point of Beginning.
3 . That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed
to file with the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San
Bernardino, State of California, this proposal to initiate proceedings
to annex the hereinabove described territory to the City of Redlands,
and to request a report by the Commission as provided for in Section
35201 . 5 of the Government Code.
