RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN
MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS :
1. That the Council of the City of Redlands proposes to initiate
on its own motion proceedings to annex to the City of Redlands all of
the territory hereinafter described, consisting of non-contiguous terri-
tory not exceeding one hundred acres in accordance with Section 35201. 5
of the Government Code of the State of California.
2. That the territory which the Council proposes to annex is here-
by identified as "Annexation No. 35" and consists of all that non-
contiguous real property used to municipal purposes and situate in the
County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows:
That portion of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 10, Township
2 South, Range 3 West, San Bernardino Base & Meridian, in
the County of San Bernardino, State of California, according
to the official plat thereof, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southeasterly corner of that certain tract
of land conveyed by Dennis Mulvihill and wife, to Albert K.
Smiley by deed dated March 25, 1909, and recorded April 3,
1909, in Book 434, Page 139, Deeds: said Tract also being
Parcel 8 per Record of Survey 22-70, San Bernardino County;
thence North 610 05 ' West along the Southwesterly line of
said Albert K. Smiley tract of land 149. 18 feetg thence
South 900 00 ' East 150. 54 feet, more or less, to the middle
of Alessandro Road; thence South following the centerline
of Alessandro Road, to the point of beginning.
3. That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed
to file with the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San
Bernardino, State of California, this proposal to initiate proceedings
to annex the hereinabove described territory to the City of Redlands,
and to request a report by the Commission as provided for in Section
35201. 5 of the Government Code.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 16th day of January 1968.
