HomeMy WebLinkAbout2690_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 2690 RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY - ANNEXATION NO. 37 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS: 1. That the Council of the City of Redlands, for the reasons hereinafter mentioned, proposes to initiate on its own motion, as soon as it can legally do so, proceedings to annex to the City of Redlands all of the territory hereinafter described, as uninhab- ited territory, under provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 as set forth in Sections 35300 to 35325 of the Government Code of the State of California. 2. That the Council ' s reasons for proposing to initiate said annexation proceedings are as follows: The annexation of the here- inafter described territory will contribute to the orderly growth of the city, provide the proper control of street layout, drainage, sanitary sewer design and insure the proper use of land in conform- ity with the overall plan of the city. 3 . That the territory which the Council proposes to annex is hereby identified as "Annexation No. 37 " and consists of all that real property situate in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, described on Exhibit A attached 'hereto and shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit B. c. That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to file with the Local. Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Bernardino, State of California, this proposal to initiate proceedings to annex the hereinabove described uninhab- ited territory to the City of Redlands, and to request a report by the Commission provided for in Section 35002 of the Government Code.
