RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDL NDS TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS
TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY e ANNEXATION NO, 40
3E IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDL NDS
1 . That the Council of the City of Redlands, for the reasons
hereinafter mentioned, proposes to initiate on its own motion, as soon
as it can legally do so, proceedings to annex to the City of Redlands
all of the territory hereinafter described., as uninhibited territory,
under previsions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory pct of
1933 as set forth in Sections 353010 to 35325 of the Government Code
of the State of California.
2. That the. Council ' s reasons for proposing to initiate said
annexation proceedings are as follows. The annexation of the here-
inafter- described territory will contribute to the orderly, logical
and desirable growth of the city, provide the proper control of
street layout, drainage, and sanitary sewer design and insure the
proper use of Land in conformity with the overall plan of the city.
3 . That the territory {which the Council proposes to annex is
hereby identified as "Annexation No. 40" and consists of all that
real property situate in the County of San Bernardino, State of
California, described in Exhibit A attached hereto and shown on the
zap attached hereto as Exhibit B . The owners of this entire area
have signed the request for annexation to the City of Redlands .
4. That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby
directed to file with the Local Agency Formation Commission of the
County of San Bernardino, State of California, this proposal to
initiate proceedings to annex the hereinabove described uninhabited
territory to the City of Redlands, and to recuest a report by the
Commission provided for in Section 35002 of the Government Code.
