RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDLANDS TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS
TO ANNE' CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY - ANNEXATION NO. 46
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS :
1 . That the Council of the City of Redlands , for the reasons
hereinafter mentioned, proposes to initiate on its own motion, as
soon as it can legally do so, proceedings to annex to the City of
Redlands all of the territory hereinafter described, as uninhabited
territory, under provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Terri-
tory Act of 1939 as set forth in Sections 35300 to 35325 of the
Government Code of the State of California.
2 . That the Council ' s reasons for proposing to initiate said
annexation proceedings are as follows: The annexation of the here-
inafter descri2bed territory will contribute to the orderly growth
of the city, provide the proper control of street layout, drainage,
sanitary sewer design and insure the proper use of land in conform-
ity with the overall plan of the city.
3. That the territory which the Council proposes to annex is
hereby identified as "Annexation No. 46" and consists of all that
real property situated in the County of San Bernardino, State of
California, described on Exhibit A attached hereto and shown on the
map attached hereto as Exhibit B .
4. That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby
directed to file with the Local Agency, Formation Commission of the
County of San Bernardino, State of California, this proposal to
initiate proceedings to annex the hereinabove described uninhabited
territory to the City of Redlands , and to request a report by the
Commission provided for in Section 35002 of the Government Code.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 8th day of March, 1972 .

For Annexation No. 46, City of Redlands
All of the Northwest 4 of the Southwest 4 of Section 21 T. 1 S. ,
R. 3 W. S.B.B. & M. and a Portion of Alabama Street as per Henry
L. Williams Tract, recorded in Book 11 of Maps, Page 17, in the
office of the County Recorder, County of San Bernardino, State of
California, more particularly described as follows :
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Northwest k of the
Southwest 4, Section 21, T. 1 S. , R. 3 W. , S.B.B. & M. , also
being a point on the present boundary of the City of Redlands;
thence Westerly along the South line of said Northwest k of the
Southwest 4 1340 feet more or less to the centerline of improve-
ment of Alabama Street as shown on Parcel Map No. 181, recorded
in Book 2 of Parcel Maps, Page 50, records of San Bernardino
County, State of California; thence Northerly along said centerline
of improvement of Alabama Street 1320 feet more or less to an
intersection with the centerline of Luqonia Avenue, said centerline
of Lugonia Avenue also being the North line of the Northwest k of
the Southwest k, Section 21, T. 1 S. , R. 3 W. , S.B.B. & M. ; thence
Easterly along said North line of the Northwest 4 of the Southwest
4, Section 21, T. 1 S. , R. 3 W. , S. B. B. & M. , 1.340 feet more or
less to the East line of the Northwest k of the Southwest 4,
Section 21 T. 1 S. , R. 3 w. , S.B.B. & M. , said East line of the
Northwest k of the Southwest 4, Section 21, T. 1 S. , R. 3 W. ,
S.B.B. & M. , also being the existing boundary of the City of
Redlands; thence Southerly along said East line of the Northwest
4 of the Southwest 4, Section 21, T. I S. , R. 3 w. , S.B.B. & M. ,
1.320 feet more or less to the point of beginning.
