HomeMy WebLinkAbout3383_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 3383 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY - ANNEXATION NO. 54 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS : 1. That the City Council of the City of Redlands, for the reasons hereinafter mentioned, proposes to initiate on its own motion, as soon as it can legally do so, proceedings to annex. to the City of Redlands all of the territory hereinafter described, as uninhabited territory, under provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 as set forth in Sections 35300 to 35325 of the Government Cbde of the State of California. 2. That the City Council 's reasons for proposing to initiate said annexation proceedings are as follows : The annexation of the herein- after described territory will contribute to the orderly growth of the city, provide the proper control of street layout, drainage, sanitary sewer design and insure the proper use of land in conformity with the overall plan of the city. 3. That the territory which the City Council proposes to annex is hereby identified as "Annexation No. 54" and consists of all that real property situated in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows The nQrthwest one-quarter and the southwest one- quarter of the north one-half of Lot 6, Block 77, RANCHO SAN BERNARDINO, as per plat recorded in Book 7 of Maps, Page 2, records of San Bernardino County and as shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit A. -, 4. That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to file with the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Bernardino, State of California, this resolution that proceedings have been initiated to annex the herein above-described uninhabited territory to the City of Redlands, to request a report by the Commission provided for in Section 35002 of the Government Code, and to submit and execute such other applications and reports as may be required by law in such annexation proceedings.
