A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION NO. 57-A, LAFC NO. 2004
TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS AND SETTING PUBLIC HEARING THEREON
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands did adopt Reso-
lution No. 3616 declaring its intention to annex 122 . 48 acres of pro-
perty contiguous to the City of Redlands, bounded by the existing City
Limits on Alabama Street, Lugonia Avenue, I-10, and a line 1 , 320 feet
from the center line of California Street; and
WHEREAS , on April 9 , 1980, the Local Agency Formation Commission
of San Bernardino County approved LAFC No. 2004 , Annexation No. 57-A,
an uninhabited annexation to the City of Redlands by the adoption of
Resolution No. 1644 ; and
WHEREAS, this annexation, designated LAFC No. 2004 , was initiated
by the City Council of the City of Redlands by adoption of Resolution
No . 3616 to bring the benefit of city services to the area and to pro-
vide zoning and land use control to land within the City' s zone of
influence; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands will comply with all requirements
of the Local Agency Formation Commission as outlined in Resolution No .
1644 , i.e. adhere to the boundaries as approved; detach the property
from County Service Area 38, CSA 38 Improvement Zone G (fire protection) ,
County Service Area 70, and CSA Improvement Zone A (weed abatement) ,
without split of assets or liabilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Redlands that Public Hearing on this annexation will be held in the
Council Chambers at 212 Brookside Avenue at 7 . 00 P .M. on Tuesday,
May 20, 1980 .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that written protests against said annexa-
tion shall be received by the City Clerk of Redlands prior to and
during said public hearing. Written protest by landowners shall con-
tain identifying descriptions of the property owned.
