HomeMy WebLinkAbout7690RESOLUTION NO. 7690 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO 134 TO THE REDLANDS GENERAL PLAN WHEREAS, the Planning Corrimssion ofthe City ofRedlands reviewed proposed amendment number 134 to the Redlands General Plan (the "Amendment") to amend the General Plan land use designation o f approxnnately 18 54 acres within the City of Redlands' Sphere of Influence from Rural Living (0 4 units per gross acre) to Very -Low -Density Residential (0 to 2 7 dwelling units per gross acre) located at the northeast corner of Highland Avenue and Wabash Avenue, and WHEREAS, on November 22, 2016, the Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing on the Amendment and considered verbal and written testimony of City staff, the applicant for the proposed Amendment, and testimony from members of the public, and WHEREAS, upon conclusion ofthe public hearing, the Planning Commission recommended to the City Council that the Amendment be approved, and WHEREAS on November 17, 2016, notice of the City Council's public hearing for the Amendment was pubhshed in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Cleik, and WHEREAS, on December 20, 2016, the City Council held a public hearing and considered the staff written and oral reports, the recommendation of the Plaiting Commission, the testinony and written evidence submitted by and on behalfofthe applicant, and testimony by rnernbers ofthe public, and WHEREAS, following the public hearing on the proposed Amendment, the City Council determined that adoption of the Amendment is in the best interests of the pubhc health, safety and general welfare, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows Section 1 General Plan Amendment No 134 is hereby approved to amend the General Plan land use designation of approximately 18 54 acres within the City of Redlands' Sphere of Influence from Rural Living (0 4 units per gross acre) to Very -Low -Density Residential (0 to 2 7 dwelling units per gross acre) located at the northeast corner of Highland Avenue and Wabash Avenue, and as more specifically described in the attached Exhibit "A " I \ccleik\Resolutions\Res 7600-7699\7690 GPA 134 12 20 16 doc-1- ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 20`h day of December, 2016 Mayor ATTEST e Donaldson, City Clerk I \cclerk\Resolutions\Res 7600-7699\7690 GPA 134 12 20 16 doc-2- I, Jeanne Donaldson, City Clerk of the City of Redlands, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of December, 2016 by the following vote AYES Councilmembers Harrison, Gilbreath, Barich, Tejeda, Mayor Foster NOES None ABSTAIN None ABSENT None anne Donaldson, City Clerk ciR ,,qt%-i)011-111i111-1Y% %WO XII sYtva,N sum - 0‘ RAINBOW LN .1 _ — - 1 Pilli-iiill\4 ' e7, \--t1 _ FtycIP. .
