A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPROVING ANNEXATION NO . 57-B TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS
LAFC NO . 2226
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Redlands did adopt
Resolution No. 3616 declaring its intention to annex thirty acres
of property contiguous to the City of Redlands, generally located
at the southeast corner of California Street and Almond Avenue ,
in accordance with the Municipal Organization Act of 1977 (Govern-
ment Code Section 35000 et. seq. ) ; and
WHEREAS , on July 13 , 1983 , the Local Agency Formation Commis-
sion of San Bernardino County, following appropriate proceedings ,
approved LAFC No. 2226 by adoption of Resolution No. 1874 , which
approved Annexation No. 57-B , an uninhabited annexation subject
to the following conditions :
1. The conducting authority for this proceeding shall be
the City Council of the City of Redlands .
2 . The boundaries are approved as set forth in Exhibit A
attached hereto .
3 . The following distinctive short form designation shall
be used throughout this proceeding: LAFC No. 2226 .
4 . Included in the City' s resolution depicting final action
shall be the detachment of County Service Area 38 (fire
protection) , Improvement of Zone G of CSA 38 , County
Service Area 70 (county-wide) and Improvement Zone A of
CSA 70 without split of assets or liabilities .
5 . Approval is granted to proceed without notice , hearing,
or election with 100 percent consent of the property
owners .
6 . The date of issuance of the Certificate of Completion
shall be the effective date of this annexation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Redlands does hereby order the following:
1. That the territory hereinafter described be and is
ordered annexed to the City of Redlands , subject to
full compliance with the findings and conditions set
forth in Local Agency Formation Commission Resolution
No. 1874 ;
2 . That the regular County assessment roll will be used for
tax purposes;
3 . That the affected property will be taxed for any existing
bonded indebtedness and/or contractural obligations
equally with the property within the City of Redlands;
4 . That the subject territory is hereby detached from County
Service Area 38 (fire protection) , Improvement Zone G of
CSA 38 , County Service Area 70 (county-wide) , and
Improvement Zone A of CSA 70 (weed abatement) without
split of assets or liabilities; and
5 . That said territory, the annexation of which to the City
of Redlands is herein approved, is all that territory
situated in the County of San Bernardino, State of
California, and particularly described in the attached
Exhibit A.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 18th day of December, 1984 .

Lots 3 , 4 , and 6 , Block 6 , according to the Henry L.
Williams Tract recorded in Book 11 , Page 17 , Official
Records of San Bernardino County , described as follows :
Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of
California Street and Almond Avenue , said intersection
being on the city limits of Redlands ;
Thence South along the city limits of Redlands which is
also the center line of California Street 660 feet;
Thence East along the city limits of Redlands 660 feet;
Thence South along the city limits of Redlands 660 feet
to the center line of Lugonia Avenue;
Thence East along the city limits of Redlands which is
also the center line of Lugonia Avenue 660 feet;
Thence leaving the city limits of Redlands North along
the West lines of said Lots 3 and 6 , and their North
and South prolongation 1320 feet to the center line of
Almond Avenue;
Thence West along said center line 1320 feet to the
Point of Beginning.
Containing 30 acres more or less .
