A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION NO. 58 , LAFC NO. 2162 ,
TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS AND SETTING PUBLIC HEARING THEREON
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands did adopt Reso-
lution No. 3626 declaring its intention to annex 191 acres of property
contiguous to the City of Redlands generally bounded by the existing
City Limits on Citrus Avenue, Kansas Street, Barton Road, Bellevue
Avenue, Brookside Avenue, Terracina Boulevard, Alabama Street, and
Orange Avenue; and
WHEREAS, on October 13 , 1982, the Local Agency Formation Commis-
sion of San Bernardino County approved LAFC No. 2162, Annexation No.
58 , an inhabited annexation to the City of Redlands by adoption of
LAFC Amended Resolution No. 1806; and
WHEREAS, this annexation, designated LAFC No. 2162 , was initiated
by the City Council of the City of Redlands by adoption of Resolution
No. 3626 to bring the benefit of city services to the area and to pro-
vide zoning and land use control to land within the City' s zone of
influence; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands will comply with all requirements
of the Local Agency Formation Commission as outlined in LAFC Amended
Resolution No . 1806, i.e. adhere to the boundaries as approved, detach
the property from County Service Area 38 (fire protection) , Improvement
Zone G of CSA 38 , County Service Area 70 (county-wide) , and Improvement
Zone A of CSA 70 (weed abatement) without split of assets or liabilities ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Redlands that public hearing on this annexation will be held in the
Council Chambers, 212 Brookside Avenue, at 7: 00 P.M. on Tuesday,
December 21 , 1982 ;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that written protests against said annexa-
tion shall be received by the City Clerk of Redlands prior to and
during said public hearing. Written protest by landowners shall con-
tain identifying descriptions of the property owned.
