A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPROVING ANNEXATION NO. 58 , LAFC NO. 2162, TO THE CITY
OF REDLANDS
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Redlands did adopt
Resolution No. 3626 declaring its intention to annex 191 acres
of property contiguous to the City of Redlands , generally located
north and south of Barton Road, south of Citrus Avenue, and west
of Alabama Street, in accordance with the Municipal Organization
Act of 1977 (Government Code Section 35000 et. seg . ) ; and
WHEREAS , on October 13 , 1982 , the Local Agency Formation
Commission of San Bernardino County, following appropriate pro-
ceedings and public hearing, approved LAFC No. 2162 by adoption
of Amended Resolution No. 1806 , which approved Annexation No . 58,
an inhabited annexation subject to the following conditions :
1 . The conducting authority for this annexation shall be
the City of Redlands .
2 . The boundaries are approved as shown in Exhibit A
attached.
3 . The detachment of County Service Area 33 (fire protection) ,
Improvement Zone G of CSA 38 , County Service Area 70
(county-wide) , and Improvement Zone A of CSA 70 (weed
abatement) without split of assets or liabilities .
4 . The following distinctive short form designation shall
be used throughout this proceeding: LAFC 2162 .
5 . The date of issuance of the Certificate of Completion
shall be the effective date of this annexation.
WHEREAS , a duly advertised public hearing has been held on
Resolution No. 3865 as required by the Municipal Organization Act
of 1977 (Government Code Section 35000 et. seq. ) ; and
WHEREAS , said hearing produced protests of less than twenty-
five percent (25a) of the registered voters or property owners in
writing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Redlands does hereby order the following :
1. That the territory hereinafter described be and is
ordered annexed to the City of Redlands , subject to full
compliance with the findings and conditions set forth in
Local Agency Formation Commission Amended Resolution
No . 1806 ;
2 . That the regular County assessment roll will be used for
tax purposes ;
3. That the affected property will be taxed for any existing
bonded indebtedness and/or contractural obligations
equally with the property within the City of Redlands;
4 . That the subject territory is hereby detached from County
Service Area 38 (fire protection) , Improvement Zone G
of CSA 38, County Service Area 70 (county-wide) , and
Improvement Zone A of CSA 70 (weed abatement) without
split of assets or liabilities ; and
5 . That said territory, the annexation of which to the City
of Redlands is herein approved, is all that territory
situated in the County of San Bernardino, State of
California , and particularly described in the attached
Exhibit A.

3 That portion of Township l South, Range 3 West, San Bernardino Meridian,
4 in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows:
5 Beginning at a point in the center line of Citrus Avenue which is
6 Westerly 660.00 feet West, more or less, from its intersection with the center
7 line of Alabama Street, said point being in the existing city limits of
g Redlands;
q Thence Easterly along said city limits and continuing along said city
10 limits, following all of its various courses, to the center line intersection
11 of Brookside Avenue and Terracina Boulevard;
12 Thence leaving said city limits Northwesterly along said center line of
13 Terracina Boulevard to the center line of Barton Road;
14 Thence Easterly along said center line of Barton Road to the West line of
15 the East half of Lot 15, Barton Ranch, as per map recorded in Book 6 of Maps,
16 page 19, records of said County, said point being also in a line that is
17 parallel with and 660.00 feet West, more or less of the center line of
18 Alabama Street;
19 Thence Northerly along said West line to the Westerly prolongation of the
20 center line of Calvary Circle;
21 Thence Easterly along said prolongation and center line to the center
22 line of Alabama Street;
23 Thence Northerly along said center line of Alabama Street to the center
24 line of Orange Avenue;
25 Thence Westerly along said center line of Orange Avenue to the West line
26 of the East half of Lot 14, said Barton Ranch, said point being also in a
