HomeMy WebLinkAbout4042_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 4042 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS APPROVING REORGANIZATION TO INCLUDE ANNEXATION NO. 59 TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS, AN ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF LOMA LINDA, AND A DETACHMENT FROM THE CITY OF REDLANDS LAFC NO. 2287E WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Redlands adopted Reso- lution No. 3957 on the 20th day of March, 1984 , declaring its inten- tion to annex approximately 405 acres of property generally located north and south of Interstate 10 between Mountain View and the Redlands ' City Limits ; and WHEREAS, on the 14th day of November , 1984 , the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Bernardino County, following appropriate proceedings and public hearing, approved LAFC No. 2287B by adoption of LAFC Resolution No. 1942 , which approved a Reorganization to include Annexation No. 59 to the City of Redlands , an annexation to the City of Loma Linda, and a detachment from the City of Redlands , an inhabited municipal annexation subject to the following conditions : 1. The conducting authority for this proceeding shall be the City Council of the City of Redlands. 2 . The boundaries are approved as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached. 3 . The following distinctive short form designation shall be used throughout this proceeding: LAFC 2287B. 4 . The detachment of County Service Area SL-1 (streetlighting) , County Service Area 38 (fire protection) , Improvement Zone G of CSA 38 , County Service Area 70 (county-wide) and improve- ment Zone A of CSA 70 (weed abatement) without split of assets or liabilities. 5 . That County Service Area 110 (Corridor Study) shall continue to overlay this area following the annexation to the City of Redlands and the City of Loma Linda. 6 . The date of issuance of the Certificate of Completion shall be the effective date of this municipal reorganization. WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Redlands adopted Reso- lution No. 4035 on the 5th day of February , 1985 , initiating proceedings for this Reorganization and setting public hearing on this matter for the 19th day of March , 1985 , at 7 :00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers , 212 Brookside Avenue ; and WHEREAS , a duly advertised public hearing has been held on Resolution No. 4042 as required by the Municipal Organization Act of 1977 (Government Code Section 35000 et. seq. ) ; and WHEREAS, said hearing produced protests in writing of less than twenty-five percent (25%) of the registered voters or property owners ; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands does hereby order the following: 1. That the territory hereinafter described be and is ordered annexed to the City of Redlands , annexed to the City of Loma Linda, and detached from the City of Redlands , subject to full compliance with the findings and conditions as set forth in Local Agency Formation Commission Resolution No. 1942 ; 2 . That the regular County assessment roll will be used for tax purposes ; 3 . That the affected property will be taxed for any existing bonded indebtedness and/or contractural obligations equally with the property within the City of Redlands ; 4 . That the subject territory is hereby detached from County Service Area SL-1 (streetlighting) , County Service Area 38 (fire protection) , Improvement Zone G of CSA 38 , County Service Area 70 (county-wide) and Improvement Zone A of CSA 70 (weed abatement) without split of assets or liabilities ; and 5 . That said territory is all that territory situated in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, and particu- larly described in the attached Exhibit "A. " ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 19th day of March, 1985 .
