A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION
PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY
ANNEXATION NO. 60-A
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS :
1 . That the City Council of the City of Redlands , for the
reasons hereinafter mentioned, proposes to initiate on its own
motion, as soon as it can legally do so , proceedings to annex to
the City of Redlands all of the territory hereinafter described,
as inhabited territory, under provisions of the Municipal
Oranization Act of January 1 , 1977 , as set forth in Section
35000 et seq. of the Government Code of the State of California.
2 . That the City Council 's reason for proposing to initiate
said annexation proceedings are as follows : The annexation of
the hereinafter described territory will contribute to the
orderly growth of the City, provide the proper control of
street layout , drainage, sanitary sewer design, and insure the
proper use of land in conformity with the overall plan of the
City .
3 . That the territory which the City Council proposes to
annex is hereby identified as "Annexation No . 60-A91 and consists
of all that real property situated in the County of San Bernardino,
State of California, described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, and
as shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit B.
4 . That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby
directed to file with the Local Agency Formation Commission of
the County of San Bernardino, State of California, this resolution
that proceedings have been initiated to annex the herein above
described inhabited territory to the City of Redlands , to request
a report by the Commission provided for in Section 35002 of the
Government Code , and to submit and execute such other applications
and reports as may be required by law in such annexation proceedings .
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 20th day of August, 1985 .

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
Beginning at the intersection of the East line of Government Lot 9 of Section 12, T.2 S.
R. 3 W. , S.B.M. with the South line of the City of Redlands City Limit line; thence
Easterly along last said line to its intersection with the West City of Redlands City
Limit line; thence Northerly along last said line and continuing along last said line
following all of its various courses to its intersection with the centerline of Interstate
Highway 10; thence Easterly along last said line and continuing along last said line
following all of its various courses to its intersection with the Northerly prolongation
of the centerline of Knoll Drive; thence Southerly along last said line and continuing
along last said line following all of its various courses to its intersection with the
Northeast prolongation of the Northwesterly line of Lot 10 of Tract No. 3457 as recorded
in Book 45 of Maps, Pages 44-46 in the County of San Bernardino, State of California;
thence Southwesterly along last said line and its prolongation thereof to its intersection
with the centerline of Gold Hill Lane; thence Southerly along last said line and continuing
along last said line following all of its various courses and its prolongation thereof
to its intersection with the Westerly right-of-way line of a bridle path; thence Southerly
along last said line and continuing along last said line following all of its various courses
and its prolongation thereof to its intersection with the centerline of Alta Vista Drive,
thence Southwesterly along last said line to its intersection with the centerline of
South Lane; thence Southerly along last said line and continuing along last said line
following all of its various courses to its intersection with the North line of Tract No.
9962 as recorded in Book 151 of Maps, Pages 32-34 in said County and State; thence
Easterly along last said line to its intersection with the East line of Section 6, T.
2 S. , R. 2 W. , S.B.M. ; thence Southerly along last said line to the Northeast corner
of Section 7, T . 2 S. , R. 2 W. , S.B.M. : thence Southerly along the Easterly line
of said Section 7 to its intersection with the East, West center section line of said
