SUBJECT: PROPERTY TAX TRANSFER TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS, LAFC NO. 2419
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt a resolution transferring $735.00 to the City of Redlands as a result of pending
annexation.
BACKGROUND:
State law requires that agreement on distribution of property tax relating to
proposed boundary changes be reached before the Local Agency Formation
Commission issues a Certificate of Filing. On May 19, 1980, the Board of Supervisors
approved the formula for property tax transfers which had been agreed upon by
County staff and a committee of city managers.
This action will determine the share of property tax revenue to be allocated as a
result of this jurisdictional change and shall only be effective upon satisfactory
completion of annexation proceedings.
The amount is transferred from County General Operations, Library, CSA 38, and its
Improvement Zone G, CSA 70 and its Improvement Zone A.
