A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN NOTION
PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
ANNEXATION NO. 68
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Redlands, for the
reasons hereinafter mentioned, proposes to initiate on its
own motion, as soon as it can legally do so, proceedings
to annex to the City of Redlands all of the territory
hereinafter described, as uninhabited territory, pursuant
to the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of
1985, Division 3 , commencing with Section 56000 of the
Government Code of the State of California.
2. That the City Council 's reason for proposing to initiate
said annexation proceedings are as follows: The
annexation of the hereinafter described territory will
contribute to the orderly growth of the City, provide the
proper control of street layout, drainage, sanitary sewer
design, and insure the proper use of land in conformity
with the overall plan of the City.
3 . That this proposal is consistent with the sphere of
influence of the City of Redlands.
4. That the territory which the City Council proposes to
annex is hereby identified as Annexation No. 68 and
consists of all that real property situated in the County
of San Bernardino, State of California, described in
Exhibit A, attached hereto, and as shown on the map
attached hereto as Exhibit B.
5 . That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby
directed to file with the Local Agency Formation
Commission of the County of San Bernardino, State of
California, this resolution that proceedings have been
initiated to annex the herein above described uninhabited
territory to the City of Redlands, to request a report by
the Commission provided for by the Cortese-Knox Local
Government Reorganization Act of 1985 , and to submit and
execute such other applications and reports as may be
required by law in such annexation proceedings.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 21st day of June, 1988 .

City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day
of June, 1988, by the following vote:
