A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPROVING ANNEXATION NO. 69 TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS
(LAFCO NO. 25223
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of
San Bernardino adopted its Resolution No. 2188 on February 15, 1989,
making determinations and approving the proposed annexation to the
City of Redlands of territory described in Exhibit A attached hereto
and by this reference incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, the public hearing by this City Council was called for
and held upon the date and at the time and place specified in the
proper notices of public hearing and in orders or orders continuing
such hearing; and
WHEREAS, at such hearings, this City Council heard and received
all oral and written protests; the City Council considered all plans
and proposed changes of organization and reorganization, objections
and evidence which were made, presented, or filed; it received
evidence as to whether the territory is inhabited and uninhabited,
improved or unimproved; and all persons present were given an
opportunity to bear and be heard in respect to any matter relating to
said application, in evidence presented at the hearing;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands finds and
determines that the value of written protests filed and not withdrawn
is less than 25 percent of the registered voters residing within the
territory proposed to be annexed and less than 25 percent of the
number of owners of land owning less than 25 percent of the assessed
value of land within the territory;
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of annexation as approved by
the Local Agency Formation Commission are as follows:
1 . The conducting authority for this proceeding shall be the
City of Redlands.
2. The boundaries are approved as set forth in Exhibit A.
attached hereto and made a part thereof.
3. The following distinctive short form designation shall be
used throughout this proceeding:
LAFCO 2522
4. County Service Area 38 and County Service Area 70 shall be
detached without split of assets or liabilities.
5 . The date of issuance of the Certificate of Completion shall
be the effective date of this annexation.
WHEREAS, the reasons for this annexation are: The annexation of
the hereinbefore described territory will contribute to the orderly
growth of the City of Redlands, provide the proper control of street
layout, drainage, sanitary sewer design, and insure the proper use of
land in conformity with the overall plan of the City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, the regular county assessment roll is utilized by the
City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, the affected territory will be taxed for existing
general bonded indebtedness of the City of Redlands; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Redlands hereby orders the territory described in the attached
Exhibit A, annexed, pursuant to the Cortese/Knox Local Government
Reorganization Act (Government Code Section 560007 , and directs the
City Clerk of the City of Redlands to transmit four certified copies
and one non-certified copy of this resolution with applicable fees
required by Section 54902.5 of the Government Code to the Executive
Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Bernardino
County.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 15th day of August, 1990.

a special meeting thereof held on the 15th day of August, 1990 , by
the following vote:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION - ANNEXATION NO. 69
A portion of Township 1 South, Range 3 West San Bernardino
Meridian, in the County of San Bernardino, State of
California, described as follows :
Beginning at the East quarter corner of Section 12 said
T.1S . , R.3W. said point being in the City of Redlands City
Limits Line; thence West along the South line of the North
half of Sections 12 , 11, 10 and 9 to the center quarter
corner of said Section 9 , said point being in the City of
Redlands City Limits Line; thence southerly and easterly
along said City Limits Line, following all of its various
courses to the Point of Beginning .
