A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPROVING ANNEXATION NO. 71 TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS
(LAFCO NO. 2512)
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of
San Bernardino adopted its Resolution No. 2190 on March 15 , 1989,
making determinations and approving the proposed annexation to the
City of Redlands territory described in Exhibit A attached hereto and
by this reference incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of annexation as approved by
the Local Agency Formation Commission are as follows:
1. The conducting authority for this proceeding shall be the
City Council of the City of Redlands;
2 . The boundaries are approved as set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto;
3 . The following distinctive short form designation shall be
used throughout this proceeding: LAFCO 2512;
4. Approval is hereby granted to proceed without notice,
hearing or election with 100 percent landowner consent;
5 . County Service Area 38 and County Service Area 70 shall be
detached without split of assets or liabilities;
6. County Service Area 110 shall continue to overlay and serve
the area pursuant to the provisions of Government Code
Section 56375 (p) ;
7 . The date of issuance of the Certificate of Completion shall
be the effective date of this annexation; and
WHEREAS, the reasons for this annexation are: The annexation of
the hereinbefore described territory will contribute to the orderly
growth of the City of Redlands, provide the proper control of street
layout, drainage, sanitary sewer design, and insure the proper use of
land in conformity with the overall plan of the City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, the regular county assessment roll is utilized by the
City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, the affected territory will be taxed for existing
general bonded indebtedness of the City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission has authorized
the City Council of the City of Redlands to approve this annexation
without notice and hearing and without an election.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Redlands hereby orders the territory described in the attached
Exhibit A, annexed, pursuant to the Cortese/Knox Local Government
Reorganization Act (Government Code Section 56000) , and directs the
City Clerk of the City of Redlands to transmit three certified copies
of this resolution with applicable fees required by Section 54902.5
of the Government Code to the Executive officer of the Local Agency
Formation Commission of San Bernardino County.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 21st day of March, 1989 .

1) This parcel shall be annexed to the City of Redlands from
its Sphere of Influence in the County of San Bernardino.
2) Th& northeast � of lot or block 10, Barton Ranch, in the
County of San Bernardino, State of California, as per map
recorded in Book 6 of Maps, page 19, in the Office of the
County Recorder of said County.
3) That portion of the Northeast one-quarter of Block 10, BARTON
RANCH, as per Map recorded in Book 6 of Maps, Page 19,
records of San Bernardino County, State of California, also
being a portion 6f the Northeast one-quarter of Section 29,
Township 1 South, Range 3 West, San Bernardino Base and
Meridian, described as follows ;
Beginning at the intersection of Park Avenue and Iowa Street
as shown on said Map; thence south 0°55'37" East along the
centerline of said Iowa Street 663.82 feet; thence south
89°58'45" West 657. 17 feet; thence North 0°53'24" West
664.88 feet to the centerline of said Park Avenue; thence
along said centerline to the point of beginning.
