A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPROVING ANNEXATION NO. 73 TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS
{LAFCO NO. 2583}
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of
San Bernardino adopted its Resolution No. 2249 on March 21, 1990 ,
making determinations and approving the proposed annexation to the
City of Redlands of territory described in Exhibit A attached hereto
and by this reference incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of annexation as approved by
the Local Agency Formation Commission are as follows:
1 . The conducting authority for this proceeding shall be the
City Council of the City of Redlands .
2 . The boundaries are approved as set forth in Exhibit A
attached hereto and made a part thereof.
3 . The following distinctive short form designation shall be
used throughout this proceeding: LAFCO 2583 .
4. County Service Area 38 and County Service Area 70 shall be
detached without split of assets or liabilities.
5 . The conducting authority is hereby authorized to proceed
without notice, hearing or election with 100 percent
landowner consent.
6. The date of issuance of the Certificate of Completion shall
be the effective date of this annexation.
WHEREAS, the reasons for this annexation are: The annexation of
the hereinbefore described territory will contribute to the orderly
growth of the City of Redlands, provide the proper control of street
layout, drainage, sanitary sewer design, and insure the proper use of
land in conformity with the overall plan of the City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, the regular county assessment roll is utilized by the
City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, the affected territory will be taxed for existing
general bonded indebtedness of the City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission has authorized
the City Council of the City of Redlands to approve this annexation
without notice and hearing and without an election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Redlands hereby orders the territory described in the attached
Exhibit A, annexed, pursuant to the Cortese/Knox Local Government
Reorganization Act (Government Code Section 561000) , and directs the
City Clerk of the City of Redlands to transmit three certified copies
and one non-certified copy of this resolution with applicable fees
required by Section 54902 .5 of the Government Code to the Executive
Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Bernardino
County.

a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of April, 1990, by the

THAT PORTION OF THE NORTHEAST ONE-QUARTER OF SECTION 10, TOWNSHIP 2 SOUTH,
RANGE 2 WEST, SAN BERNARDINO BASE AND MERIDIAN, IN THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ACCORDING TO GOVERNMENT SURVEY AND BOUNDED AS FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE SAID NORTHEAST ONE-QUARTER OF
SAID SECTION 10; THENCE NORTH 89 DEGREES 00' EAST, 1,202.0 FEET TO THE
CENTER LINE OF ALLESSANDRO ROAD; THENCE SOUTH O DEGREES 57' EAST, 238.9
FEET ALONG THE SAID CENTER LINE OF ALLESSANDRO ROAD; THENCE SOUTH 89
DEGREES 00' WEST, 1,201.37 FEET TO A POINT ON THE WEST LINE OF THE SAID
NORTH EAST ONE-QUARTER OF SECTION 10, THENCE NORTH 1 DEGREES 00' WEST,
238.9 FEET ALONG THE SAID WEST LINE TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.
