A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION
PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
ANNEXATION NO. 75
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Redlands, for the
reasons hereinafter mentioned, proposes to initiate on its
own motion, as soon as it can legally do so, proceedings
to annex to the City of Redlands all of the territory
hereinafter described, as uninhabited territory, pursuant
to the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of
1985, Division 3 , commencing with Section 56000 of the
Government Code of the State of California.
2. That the City Council ' s reason for proposing to initiate
said annexation proceedings are as follows: The
annexation of the hereinafter described territory will
contribute to the orderly growth of the City, provide the
proper control of street layout, drainage, sanitary sewer
design, and insure the proper use of land in conformity
with the overall plan of the City.
3. That this proposal is consistent with the sphere of
influence of the City of Redlands .
4 . That the territory which the City Council proposes to
annex is hereby identified as Annexation No. 75 and
consists of all that real property situated in the County
of San Bernardino, State of California, described in
Exhibit A, attached hereto, and as shown on the map
attached hereto as Exhibit B.
5 . That there are no terms or conditions requested by the
City of Redlands.
6. That Resolution No. 4601 is hereby rescinded.
7 . That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby
directed to file with the Local Agency Formation
Commission of the County of San Bernardino, State of
California, this resolution that proceedings have been
initiated to annex the herein above described uninhabited
territory to the City of Redlands, to request a report by
the Commission provided for by the Cortese--Knox Local
Government Reorganization Act of 1985, and to submit and
execute such other applications and reports as may be
required by law in such annexation proceedings.

Beginning at the intersection of the northsouth centerline of
Section 21, T. 1.S. , R. 3W.S. B.M. with the centerline line of
Lugonia Avenue; thence west along last said line to its
intersection with the southerly prolongation of the East line
of Lot 6 of Block 6 of H.L. Williams Tract as recorded in
Book 11 of Maps, Page 17 in the office of the County
Recorder, County of San Bernardino, State California; thence
northerly along said southerly prolongation of the East line
of Lot 6 and northerly along the East line of said Lot 6 to
the East line of Lot 3 of said Block 6; thence northerly
along said East line of Lot 3 and its prolongation thereof to
its intersection with the centerline of Almond Avenue; thence
westerly along last said line to its intersection with the
centerline of California Street; thence northerly along last
said line to its intersection with the centerline of Palmetto
Avenue; thence easterly along last said line to its inter-
section with the centerline of Nevada Street; thence
northerly along last said line to its intersection with the
centerline of Pine Street (now vacated) ; thence easterly
along last said line to its intersection with the southerly
prolongation of the East line of Lot 3 of Block 1 of Browns
Subdivision of H.L. Williams Tract No. 1 as recorded in Book
8 of Maps, Page 96 recorded in said County and State; thence
northerly along said southerly prolongation of said Lot 3,
Block 1 and northerly along the East line of said Lot 3 to
its intersection with City of Redlands City limits line;
thence southeasterly along last said line and its various
courses to its intersection with the centerline of Alabama
Street, said intersection also being on the City limits line;
thence northerly along last said line to the northwest corner
of Section 16, T. I.S. , R. 3W.S.B.M. also being on the City
limits line; thence easterly along last said line to the
N 1/4 corner of said Section 16 also being on the City limits
line; thence southerly along last line to its intersection
with the centerline of Pioneer Avenue; thence westerly along
last line to its northerly prolongation of the East line of
the following described property: Beginning at a point 1419
feet east of the southwest corner of said Section 16; thence
Nl° 20' E, 720. 55 feet to the True Point of Beginning; thence
Nl° 201 E, 746. 32 feet; thence east 458 . 3 feet; thence SO° 11
