RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CT` Y OF REDLANDS TO INITIATE O ITS OWN MOTTO{ PROCEEDINGS
TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY - ANNEXATION NO, 45

1. That the Council of the Cit; of Redlands , for the reasons
hereinafter mentioned, proposes to initiate on its own motion, as
soon as it can legally do so, proceedings to annex to the Cite of
Redlands all of the territory hereinafter described, as ?uninhabited
territory, ender provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Terri-
tory Act of 1939 as set forth in Sections 35300 to 35325 of the
Government Cade of the State of California.
2. That the Council ' s .reasons for proposing to initiate said
annexation proceedings are as follows: The annexation of the here-
inafter described. territory will contribute to the orderly growth
of the city, provide the proper control of strut layout, drainage,
sanitary sewer design and insure the proper use of land in conform-
ity with the overall plan of the city.
3 . That the territory which. the Council proposes to annex is
hereby identified as "Annexation No. 45" and consists of all that
real property situate it the County of „an Bernardino, ,tate of
California, described on Exhibit A attached hereto and shown on the
map attached hereto as Exhibit B .
4. That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby
directed to file with the Local Agency Formation Commission of the
County of ,San Bernardino, State of California, this proposal to
initiate proceedings to annex the hereinabove described uninhab-
ited territory to the City of Redlands, e1I`ad to request a report by
the Commission provided for in Section 35002 of the Government Code.

follows;
Beginning at the centerline intersection of Kansas Street.,
80 feet wide, and orange Avenue, 50 feet wide thence easterly
along the centerline of Grange Avenue to the centerline of
Tennessee Street, 80 feet wide; thence southerly along the cen-
terline of Tennessee Street and tho centerline of Tennessee
Street produced to the north line of Section 33 , `?'1S , R3C4v',
S .B.B.M. ; thence easterly along the north line of said Section
33 to the north % earner of said Section 33 . Thence southerly
along the cast line of the northwest 0 of said Section 33 to the
centerline of Brookside avenue, 100 .feet wad=e; thence southwest-
erly along the centerline. of Brookside Avenue to the centerline
of Barton Road, 80 feet wide, thence westerly along the center-
line of Barton Road to its intersection with the prolongation of
the centerline of Kansas Stre=et," thence northerly along the
