A RESOLUTION OF THE CI'T'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR PEDESTRIAN FUNDS AU'T'HORIZED
UNDER SB 821 AND APPROVING THE ADOPTION OF ITS PEDESTRIAN
FACILITIES PROJECT
WHEREAS, SB 821 provides that two percent (2') of each County' s
total. local Transportation Fund be annually set aside and used to
fund the development of bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has planned a pedestrian facili-
ties project in conformance with specifications of the California
Highway Design Manual, the Regional Transportation Plan., and the
City of Redlands ' General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands desires to construct pedestrian
facilities within their City utilizing the funds available under SB
821,
NOW,THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands does
resolve as follows :
1. To adopt the pedestrian facilities project in conformance
with the specifications of the California Highway Design
Manual, the Regional Transportation Plan, and the City of
Redlands ' General Plan.
2. To authorize J. F. Shefchik, Director of Public Works, as
the City' s authorized signature and designated contact
person;
3 . To apply for all funds available to the City of Redlands
allocated for bikeways and pedestrian facilities (SB 821) .
