HomeMy WebLinkAbout5947_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 5947 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE US BUREAU OF RECLAMATION FOR A RECYCLED/NON-POTABLE WATER DEMAND AND MARKETING STUDY AND AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL UTILITIES DIRECTOR TO SIGN THE GRANT DOCUMENTS WHEREAS, the City desires to maximize the use of its limited potable water supplies by implementing cost-effective projects that utilize recycled/non-potable water, and WHEREAS, the US Bureau of Reclamation has initiated a grant program called the Southern California Water Recycling Projects Initiative to support non-construction based projects to promote the use of recycled water in Southern California, and WHEREAS, the City has been allocated $20363 in grant funding from the US Bureau of Reclamation grant program based on a pre-application process: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes the City of Redlands to apply for a grant from the US Bureau of Reclamation to conduct a Recycled/Non- potable Water Demand and Marketing Study. BE IT ALSO RESOLVED, that the Municipal Utilities Director is hereby authorized and empowered to execute in the name of the City of Redlands all necessary documents to implement and carry out the purpose of this resolution.
