A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS AUTHORIZED SIGNATORY FOR
GRANT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands has the legal authority to
enter into a funding agreement with the U.S. Department of the Interior- Bureau of
Reclamation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands has the authority to
designate an official with legal authority to enter into a funding agreement with the U.S.
Department of the Interior- Bureau of Reclamation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and supports the application
submitted;
WHEREAS, the City Council authorizes dedicating the City to cost share 51% of
the project cost;
WHEREAS, the City Council authorizes City staff to work with the U.S.
Department of the Interior- Bureau of Reclamation to meet established deadlines for
entering into a cooperative agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Redlands as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby designates the City Manager as having
legal authority to execute said agreement.
Section 2. The City Council designates the Municipal Utilities and Engineering
Director as the person authorized to sign and submit the U.S. Department of the Interior-
Bureau of Reclamation WaterSMART grant application.
Passed, adopted and approved at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Redlands this 5th day of February, 2013.
