A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE ALTERNATIVE
FUELS LOCAL GOVERNMENT MATCH PROGRAM AND ALLOCATING
2002/03 SUBVENTION FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF COMPRESSED
NATURAL GAS VEHICLES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands desires to contribute to the regional
goals of cleaner air and recognizes the value that clean air has in benefitting the health of Redlands
residents, attracting businesses and improving the quality of life in Redlands; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands supports the efforts of the Air Quality Management
District(AQMD)to increase the use of alternative-fuel vehicles and availability of alternative-fuel
refueling infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands desires to participate in the Alternative Fuels Local
Government Match Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands
authorizes the Redlands Police Department to submit a proposal to the AQMD to participate in the
Alternative Fuels Local Government Match Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council agrees to allocate 2002/03 Subvention
and other funds for the purchase of two compressed natural gas passenger vehicles in accordance
with the implementation schedule reflected in the application proposal.
PASSED,APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Redlands City Council
held on this 2011 day of November, 2001.
