HomeMy WebLinkAbout6910_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 6910 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING A COMMITMENT FOR A REQUIRED CASH MATCH IN CONNECTION WITH THE CITY'S BICYCLE TRANSPORTATION ACCOUNT GRANT APPLICATION WHEREAS, CALTRANS anticipates an appropriation of$7.2 million for the Bicycle Transportation Account(`BTA"); and WHEREAS, the BTA provides state funds for city and county projects that improve safety and convenience for bicycle commuters; and WHEREAS, CALTRANS requires a resolution adopted by the local agency's governing board committing to the minimum ten percent(10%) match as a condition of a local agency's submittal of an application to the Sate for a BTA grant; NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, upon the City's acceptance of the BTA grant,the City Council of the City of Redlands hereby agrees to commit to the minimum ten percent(10%)match for such BTA grant. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this Ist day of December, 2009.
