RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS REVISING
RESOLUTION NO. 5056 REGARDING THE EXECUTION OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS 1994 GENERAL OBLIGATION REFUNDING BONDS
WHEREAS, the City Council (the "City Council") of the City of Redlands (the
"City") has approved the issuance of its aggregate principal amount of $7,570,000 "City of
Redlands 1994 General Obligation Refunding Bonds" (the "Bonds") under the provisions of
Article 9 of Division 2 of Title 5 (commencing with Section 53550) of the California
Government Code and pursuant to Resolution No. 5056 of the City Council adopted on March
1, 1994 (the "Resolution"); and
WHEREAS, the Resolution provides that the Bonds shall be signed by the manual
or facsimile signatures of the Mayor of the City and countersigned by the manual signature of
the City Clerk; and
Vv HEREAS, the City Council has determined that the Bonds shall be signed by
the manual or facsimile signature of the Mayor of the City, and countersigned by the manual or
facsimile signature of the City Clerk;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 5 of Resolution No. 5056 is hereby amended to read:
"Section 5. Execution of Bonds. The Bonds shall be signed by the manual
or facsimile signature of the Mayor of the City, and countersigned by the manual
or facsimile signature of the City Clerk of the City, and the seal of the City shall
be impressed, imprinted or reproduced in facsimile thereon. If any officer whose
signature appears on any Bond ceases to be such officer before delivery of the
Bond to the Owner, such signature shall nevertheless be as effective as if the
officer had remained in office until the delivery of the Bond to the Owner. Any
Bond may be signed and attested on behalf of the City by such persons as at the

actual date of execution of such Bond shall be the proper officers of the City
although at the nominal date of such Bond any persons were not such officers of
the City.
Only such Bonds as shall bear thereon a certificate of authentication in
substantially the form set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, executed and dated
by the Paying Agent, shall be valid or obligatory for any purpose or entitled to
the benefits of this Resolution, and such certificate of authentication of the Paying
Agent shall be conclusive evidence that such Bonds have been duly authenticated,
registered and delivered hereunder and are entitled to the benefits of this
Resolution."
Section 2. Effective Date. This resolution shall become effective immediately
upon adoption.

regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Redlands on the 15th day of

has not been amended, modified or repealed, and that it is presently valid and an existing law
of the City of Redlands, California.
