A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
AMENDING THE CITY'S LOCAL GUIDELINES FOR IMPLEMENTING THE
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT
WHEREAS, Section 21082 of California Environmental Quality Act requires all public
agencies to adopt objectives,criteria and procedures for the evaluation of public and private projects
undertaken or approved by such agencies,and the preparation, if required,of environmental impact
reports and negative declarations in connection with that evaluation; and
WHEREAS,the City has adopted local guidelines for implementing CEQA consistent with
the current provisions and interpretations of CEQA; and
WHEREAS, staff has recommended to the City Council that minor changes be made to the
City's Local Guidelines relating to the processing of environmental documents;
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows:
Section 1. The document entitled "Local Guidelines for Implementing the California
Environmental Quality Act(2003 Second Revision)" is hereby adopted and a copy shall be kept on
file at the office of the City's Community Development Department and shall remain available for
inspection by the public.
Section 2. All prior versions of the City's CEQA guidelines and the resolutions which
adopted them are hereby repealed.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 15th day of July, 2003.
