A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS CONCERNING CHANGE OF
MEMBERSHIP DATE IN STATE EMPLOYEES ' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
WHEREAS the City of Redlands is a contracting agency with
the State Fmployees ' Retirement System (hereinafter called System) .
WHEREAS; in accordance with regulations of the Board of
Administration of the System, employees of the City of Redlands
have in the past begun membership in the System on the first of the
month next following date of employment; and
WHEREAS amendments to the Regulations of the Board of
Administration of the State Employees ' Retirement System adopted on
.December 8, 1961 and effective January 15, 1962, allow changes in
the membership date of employees of a contracting agency when
requested by the governing body of said agency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Redlands does hereby request that the membership date
of all employees of the City of Redlands hereafter entering member-
ship with the System be changed from the first of the month next
following date of employment to the sixteenth of the month next
following date of employment. This is to correspond with the
payroll period of the City of Redlands, which begins on the
sixteenth of each month and ends on the fifteenth of the following
months
