CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION
SITING AND PERMIT ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
SITING AND P APPLICATION
I
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands recognizes that it is in the interest of
the national economy to promote the development of an alternative energy
resources to reduce our nations dependence on costly foreign oil; and,
WHEREAS, funds have been established by Senate Bill 992 (Garamendi),
and are available throgh the California Energy Commission for grants to
local governments for planning and environmental study activties:
NOW, therefore, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of
Redlands authorizes the submittal of an application to the California Energy
Commission for a grant to develop an energy element to the General Pian.
The Community Development Director of the -City of Redlands Community
Development Department is hereby authorized and empowered to execute in
the name of the City of Redlands all necessary applications, contracts, and
agreements and amendments hereto to implement and carry out the purposes
specified in this resolution.
The foregoing resolution was passed by the (governing body of the
jurisdiction)
