HomeMy WebLinkAbout4526_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 4526 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF A PROPOSAL UNDER THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL LICENSE PLATE FUND WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California has enacted the California Environmental License Plate Fund (ELPF) , which provides funds to certain entities for projects which preserve and/or protect California's environment; and WHEREAS, the Resources Agency of California has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program, setting up necessary procedures governing the submission of the program by various organizations and local agencies under the program; and WHEREAS, said procedures established by the Resources Agency of California require the proposer to certify by resolution local approval to submit proposal prior to submission of said proposal to the State; and WHEREAS, revenues for the ELPF are derived from public purchases of "personalized" vehicular license plates, and approximately $26, 000,000 in revenues are available for 1989-90. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands: 1. Approves the submission of a proposal for funding under the California Environmental License Plate Fund, for projects which preserve and/or protect California's environment; and 2 . Certifies that said agency understands the general provisions of the application; and 3 . Authorizes the City Manager as agent of the City of Redlands to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned program. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of June, 1989.
