EXPRESSING THE CITY OF REDLAYIDS TiNTEREST AND
PARTICIPATION IN ENT-ERI14G INTO A CONTRACT WITTI
THE DEPARTMENT OF CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL
FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE ABANDONED VEHICLE
ABATEMENT PROGRAM
VffdEREAS, Sections 22702 and 22710 of the Vehicle
Code of the State of California establishes the authority
for a State Abandoned vehicle Abatement Program (AVA) , and
WHEREAS, the Department of California Highway Patrol
has assumed responsibilities for the Abandoned Vehicle
Abatement Program, and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has, by ordinance
No. 1381, as amended, adopted abandoned vehicle abatement
procedures authorized under Section 22660 of the Vehicle
Code, and
WHEREAS, by adopting said Ordinance No. 1381, the
City qualifies to enter the State Abandoned vehicle Abate-
ment Program (AV-A) and also to receive reimbursement from
the AVA Trust Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COD7-qCTL
OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS;
That the City desires to make and enter into a
contract with the Department of California Highway Patrol
to participate in the State Abandoned vehicle Program.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6-th day of
November, 1973.
