HomeMy WebLinkAbout8347RESOLUTION NO 8347 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS SETTING THE SPECIAL TAX FOR EMERGENCY PARAMEDIC SERVICE WHEREAS, Ordinance No 1900 permits the levy of a special tax by the City Council of the City of Redlands ("this City Council") on each improved parcel of property, each residential unit in a multiple dwelling, and each mobile home site in the City of Redlands, and WHEREAS, Ordinance No 1900 further empowers this City Council to establish, by Resolution, the rate of special tax to fund anticipated expenses in an effort to provide an adequate level of paramedic service, but in no event, shall the special tax exceed the maximum allowable limits as set forth in Ordinance No 1900, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows Section 1 The rate of the special tax for emergency paramedic service shall be as follows for the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 only Multi -family and Mobile Home Units Single Family (Including condominiums) Commercial and Industrial $ 29.70 $ 39 70 0 to 4,999 Square feet $ 39 70 5,000 to 9,999 Square feet $ 79 45 10,000 to 19,999 Square feet $ 119.20 20,000 to 39,999 Square feet $ 158 95 Greater than 39,999 square feet = $158 95 plus $39 70 for each 20,000 square foot increment of floor area, or portion thereof, in excess of 39,999 square feet ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED THIS 7th day o s e 2022 Paul T Barich, Mayor ATTEST anne Donaldson, City Clerk 1 L \ca\Reso\8347 Special Tax for Emergency Paramedic Service FY 22 23.docx I, Jeanne Donaldson, City Clerk of the City of Redlands, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of June, 2022 AYES Councilmembers Tejeda, Davis, Guzman -Lowery, Gallagher; Mayor Barich NOES None ABSENT None ABSTAINED.
