A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO TITLE 10 OF
THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION
NO 7583
WHEREAS, pursuant to studies made under the authonty of Title 10 of the Redlands
Municipal Code, and the presentation of mformation contained in such studies, the City Council
of the City of Redlands has determined that certain traffic regulations are necessary to protect the
public health, safety and welfare and should be established pursuant to Title 10 of the Redlands
Municipal Code,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS as follows
Section 1 This City Council determines that approval of this Resolution is exempt
from review under Cahforma Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA Guidelines
section 15061 (b)(3) which provides that CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential
for causing a significant effect on the environment The City Council therefore finds with certainty
that there is no possibility the approval of this Resolution may have a significant effect on the
environment
Section 2 Pursuant to Chapter 10 24 of the Redlands Municipal Code, a traffic
engmeermg investigation was conducted by RK Engmeermg Group, Inc to determine the speed
limits for vanous streets in the City of Redlands, and is attached herein as Exhibit "A," titled "2021
Engineering and Traffic Survey," dated January 18, 2022 The recommended speed limits are
hereby established for such streets and found appropriate to facilitate the orderly movement of
traffic, and the speed limts are determined to be reasonable and safe
Section 3. City staff is hereby directed to take all actions to undertake signage to
implement this Resolution
