A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
RELATING TO FEES FOR THE SALE OF CEMETERY PLOTS, CRYPTS,
NICHES, SETTINGS OF MARKERS AND MISCELLANEOUS SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands operates and maintains a public cemetery at
Hillside Memorial Park; and
WHEREAS, the Cemetery Division of the Quality of Life Department provides for the
sale of various plots, crypts, niches, the setting of markers, the lettering of mausoleum
shutters and miscellaneous supplies to the general public related to cemetery operations
and services; and
WHEREAS. based on studies undertaken by the Cemetery Division to determine the
cost of property, materials and services available for sale, the City Council of the City of
Redlands has determined that the fees charged by the City should be in amounts sufficient
to cover the costs reasonably borne by the City in connection with the sale of property,
materials and services;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows:
1. The fees for the sale of property, materials and services provided by the City
at Hillside Memorial Park as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto are
hereby adopted.
2. Resolution No. 6512 is hereby rescinded.
3. This resolution shall take effect upon adoption.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 3 I day of June, 2008.
