RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDLANDS ABOLISHING CEMETERY
COMMISSION, AND DECLARING THAT REAL
PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF REDLANDS
UNDER THE DESIGNATION "CITY OF REDLANDS,
CEMETERY ENDOWMENT FUND" IS THE PROPERTY
OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, by resolution adopted on August 7 , 1918
the City Council of the City of Redlands ( the "City
Council" ) created a Cemetery Commission consisting of five
members to be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the
City Council to supervise the care and maintenance of all
cemetery property acquired by the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it
has not appointed a Cemetery Commission for a number of
years , that there is no need to appoint such a commission,
and that such commission should therefore be abolished;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND
ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The Cemetery Commission shall be and is hereby
abolished.
2 . All real property owned by the City under the
designation "The City of Redlands , Cemetery Endowment Fund, "
or a similar designation, is the property of the City, and
such designation was for the purpose of identifying the
source of funds which were utilized to purchase such
property and has no other significance.
